SYNOPSIS: Gene di Napoli is a former actor that played, during the 70's, the same role: a shady gangster in a chenille tank top, who died in the first round-up. He currently runs a concert venue in the Bronx and is the wanna-be manager of a handful of so-called artists. Gene is a charismatic nostalgic bragger, "bigger than life" as America wants them, capable of constantly reinventing himself. The music video takes a glance at Gene's life, between dusty memorabilia, photos with Joe Pesci and Martin Scorsese, and a nowhere to be seen love of a lifetime: Paulette. A voyeuristic story of melancholy for a glorious past and an unjustified euphoria for the future. Gene is an optimist.
